bocad 2025.4, released this month, already includes over 50 new features, demonstrating our team’s ongoing commitment to evolving the software to meet market needs.

bocad Hybrid:

The most significant development in this release is the integration of the Roof&Wall, Timber, and SmartPointCloud modules within bocad Hybrid. This allows users to design and manage hybrid constructions made from steel, timber, concrete, aluminum and glass, all within a single, integrated BIM application.

Cloud Licence

Launched in 2024, the cloud licence is already winning over many users. Flexible and easy to manage, it allows licence sharing across multiple workstations without IT administration or extra costs, supporting agile workflows.

Main Features of bocad 2025.4

• IFC Interface: Import grids and bolts with equivalence tables, new options for property and classification import. bocad has received its buildingSMART certification for IFC import and export.

• SmartNavigator: Enhanced project tree with color codes and symbols for clear tracking of numbering statuses (parts, assemblies, phases).

• SmartView: Orthographic mode especially useful for point cloud work, including DB point displays (user-saved coordinate points).

• SmartPointCloud: Accelerated display of E57, LAS, RCP formats, new settings, and the ability to merge multiple scans.

• User Interface: Improved ergonomics, with SmartSelect now extended to graphical elements.

• Integration with AVEVA Unified Engineering: a new connection to AVEVA Unified Engineering has been developed. Transferring bocad model is as simple as a SAVE WORK !

• Macros & API: New BoEdit macros for connections, and a complete .NET API with full documentation.

• Cladding/Aluminum Catalog: Updated with the addition of the Profil C catalog for cladding and roofing.
